Mumbai, Mar 8: Model, actor and physician Aditi Govitrikar makes a bold statement this season. In a print advertisement for Peta India (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) the model has posed with fiery red chillies and lettuce dressing her head.
Being a doctor herself, Aditi strongly believes in following a strictly vegetarian diet. She urges non-vegetarians to ditch the meat habit to endorse animal well-being. She also believes that eating the vegetarian way is the first and most important ingredient in keeping fit. Elaborating further, she says that if you eat chicken or other meat, you’re consuming fats and cholesterol. Veg food is powered with all the vitamins and protein you need to be at your best.
The tagline of the ad goes “Use your head, go veg”. The ad has designed by experts. While Hemant Trivedi has designed the headgear for Aditi, Atul Kasbekar has shot her photographs. The ad has already made so much impact that designer Trivedi decided to go vegetarian during the shoot!
A few years ago, Czech model Yana Gupta had also done a campaign for Peta in support of vegetarianism. Vegetarianism has been the chosen diet of many popular Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Mahima Chowdry, R. Madhavan, Juhi Chawla and Jackie Shroff.
