Udupi, Apr 3: Pejawar Math will get an aid of Rs 600 crore for the development of its educational institutes, it has been revealed.
Hyderabad based Sri Sathi Gopalakrishna Reddy foundation is the donor of this huge amount.
The above information was given by Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math in a press meet on Thursday April 2. He said that the amount will be utilized for the development of the educational institutes managed by the Math and some other programmes for the needy.
The future plans of Math include residential colleges in Udupi, Hubli and Mysuru. Udupi residential college will be the first to be opened. These colleges will accommodate students from all the communities from south India especially the poor. The colleges will have education from primary level to college level. Free food and accommodation will be provided here. A college in Hyderabad Karnataka is also in offing. Government help has been sought in this regard.
Rs 250 crore will be spent on the super-speciality hospital to be built by Sri Krishna Sevashrama in Marath Halli. The government has already provided 2 acres land for the same.
The Math has drawn many people oriented future plans including free insurance to the poor based on this donation .
