Kasargod: Two persons die in road accidents near Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Apr 1: Two people including a student have died and two people have been injured in separate road accidents those occurred near Manjeshwar on Tuesday, March 31.

A person died in a collision between a car and a scooter in the morning and another person was injured. The deceased is identified as Hosangadi Ramathamajalu resident Abdul Khader(42). The pillion rider Siddik (28) has been injured. The accident has occurred when the duo were returning after fishing. The car was heading towards Mangaluru airport. The seriously injured Abdul Khader was rushed to the hospital but he died without responding to treatment.

A student died in another accident between a pick up and a van on national highway at Udyavar in the evening. The deceased is Uppala Pathwadi resident Thousif(21). Though Thousif was rushed to the hospital, he died without responding to treatment. His companion Uppala resident Ilyas(22) has been admitted in the hospital. Theaccident occurred when they were travelling in their bike from Uppala to Manjeshwar when the pick up van hit their vehicle.

Manjeshwar station police have registered both the cases.
