Armed men break into Goa distillery

Panaji, March 31 (IANS): Ten masked men armed with guns and swords broke into an alcohol distillery near Panaji late on Monday night only to steal an LCD TV set worth Rs.40,000, police said on Tuesday.

A complaint filed at the Old Goa Police station by the owner of the distillery, Rajesh Shirodkar, also says that the bandits also shepherded the labourers in the distillery into an adjacent room at gun point.

"They tied the labourers and security guards with a rope, taped their mouths before stealing the TV," a spokesperson said.
