Nitin and his family members had gone to Mantralaya on pilgrimage in a car. On their return, they visited historical town, Hampi, at about 7 am on Saturday. They visited the house of Prabhakar Datta, priest of Venugopal Temple at Hospet, and had lunch at his home. They began their return journey to Dharmasthala at about 2 pm, and the tragedy occurred within sometime thereafter.

The car, which was moving on national highway 13, was involved with head-on collision with a truck coming from opposite direction at Guda Forest. Nitin, who was driving the car, tried at the last moment to jump out of the car, but as the truck hit the car before he safely got away, his body got stuck between the car and the truck. As the driver of the truck tried to apply brake hurriedly, the truck fell by its side on the road. Its driver, Shantakumar, died after getting crushed under the weight of the truck.

May his soul rest in peace. Its unfortunate that we lost a bright talent under such tragic conditions. Life may not be the same to that family again. May the almighty give them strength and courage to bear the loss of their loved one.

There need to be compulsory..mandatory: TRAFFIC week: compulsory driving lessons.. heavy fines for Speeding ..black points and revoke license and penalties...
    introduce STOP signals.100%
Speed driving: wrong side driving all should be stopped otherwise the JANATHA should spring into action and thrash the driver on the spot... this is the only way to Stop this non sense ..loosing innocent lives for someone else s mistake..
    Insurance should be 100% ..
check the condition of the vehicle regularly every year and abandon/confiscate Unworthy .. not road worthy old vehicles..
crackdown heavily ..since it is the responsibility of the Traffic police..
Educate school children in TRAFFIC WEEK..
    Involve the janath ..
introduce pedestrian crossing.. tunnels and over head bridges..
well designed and built CLEAN Not shoddy or shabby like NAMMA METRO in BANGALORE..Rubbish.
if not anything just copy the designs but build high quality..aesthetic.. reliable ..durable and strong.

The model of the episode - DRIVE SAFE - SAVE LIVES.

Any amount of caution is inadequate and therefore all drivers should be extremely careful while they are in their vehicles and thus save their own lives and the lives of others.
