Mangaluru, Mar 21: Two students who went for a swim in Netravati river on Saturday March 21 met watery graves.
The boys are identified as Aditya Nayak and Chirag Bangera.
Aditya, Chirag, Satvik and Prateek, all second PU students of Canara College, had got together at Aditya's house at Morgan's Gate for group study.
The boys later went to Kallapu, where Aditya and Chirag got into the river for a swim.
While in the water, Aditya and Chirag got washed away by the currents. Their friends Satvik and Prateek who were close by raised an alarm.
The fire service, the locals and the police rushed to the spot and efforts are on to locate the missing boys.
After much effort, the body of Chirag was retrieved while search is still on for the other boy.
