Delayed 'Bangalore Days' remake will roll from April


Chennai, March 19 (IANS): Nearly a year after it was first announced, the yet-untitled Tamil remake of "Bangalore Days" will officially go on floors in the first week of April, featuring an ensemble cast of Arya, Rana Daggubati, Simhaa, Sri Divya, Parvathi Menon and Raai Laxmi.

PVP Cinema, which will be bankrolling the remake, announced in a statement that the film will go on floors from first week of April and will be shot across Bangalore, Pune and Kasi.

The film is said to be a bilingual, but the makers are yet to finalise the cast for the Telugu version.

Director Bhaskar of "Bommarillu" fame will helm the remake, which will be jointly produced by Dil Raju.

Rana, Arya and Simhaa will reprise the roles of Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan and Nivin Pauly respectively.

Among the heroines, Sri Divya will slip into the shoes of Nazriya, and Raai Laxmi will essay Isha Talwar's character, while Parvathy will play her own role from the original.

A story about three cousins, who move to Bangalore from Kerala, "Bangalore Days" was one of the biggest Malayalam hits of recent times.
