Bengaluru, Feb 21: An innovative and first of its kind Mobike Ambulance Service implemented by City-based Chris Super Speciality Hospital and Research Centre Pvt Ltd was launched by Karnataka State Police Director General of Police Lalrokhuma Panchuau in Bengaluru on Saturday.
The Mobike Ambulance Service was launched during the Walkamara Marathon involving mostly young software engineers.
The Chris Hospital has come out with the Mobike Ambulance, which is equipped with all life-saving medicines, IV fluids, minor surgical equipment, oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, pulse oxymeters, qlucometers, laryngoscop etc and the driver of the Mobike Ambulance will be a trained paramedic, who will be taking care of the life-saving operation.
The Mobike Ambulance will be a big boon to the traffic-congested city like Bengaluru as in road accident cases, the victims find the accident injuries fatal due to non-availability of treatment for a long period, especially during the golden hour, as it takes a long time for the ambulance to reach the spot.
Once the message of accident is received, the Mobike Ambulance will immediately rush to the spot and the paramedic will start the first aid treatment for the patient en route to the Hospital for further treatment.
The same will also be carried out in case of any emergency calls like heart attack, stroke, etc, where the patient has to be reached immediately and emergency care has to be carried out.
To start with, there will be two fully-equipped Mobike Ambulances in operation.
Dr Robert Christopher, Chairman, Chris Hospital, Pavan, Director, Chris Hospital and Bhaskar were present during the function.
