Berlin, Feb 6 (IANS): German football club Borussia Dortmund's Kevin Grosskreutz has been sidelined with a thigh injury for six weeks.
Grosskreutz sustained an injury during Wednesday's 0-1 defeat to Augsburg.
The German international felt pain in the upper side of his right thigh and was unable to continue with teammate Neven Subotic replacing the defender at the 66th minute.
According to club doctor Markus Braun Thursday, Grosskreutz tore a bundle of muscles in his right thigh. He is expected to return to the pitch in six weeks.
Juergen Klopp's men rock-bottom of the Bundesliga standings with only 16 points from 19 games.
The "BVB" take on 15th-placed Freiburg for a relegation battle Saturday.
