Everton football fans to feature in Stallone's 'Rocky' movie

London, Jan 19 (IANS): English Premier League club Everton's fans have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feature in a film of Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone's famous 'Rocky' series.

Everton face West Bromich Albion in a league game Monday and boxer Tony Bellew, who is scheduled to play a major role in the movie, is a fan of the club and has arranged for the film's crew to capture scenes of the stands during the game,

The film is tentatively named "Creed" and will go on the floors later this month.

Stallone will reportedly be essaying the role of the legendary on-screen boxer Rocky Balboa in the seventh film of the series. He will essay the role of the trainer of Adonis Creed - the son of a famous boxing character of the movie - the late former heavyweight champion Apollo Creed.

Stallone had earlier claimed to be an Everton fan after he witnessed the club's 1-1 draw with Reading in January 2007.

"I would like you to stay in your seats at half-time and keep any eye on the big screens for a very special guest to make a welcome return to Goodison Park," Bellew was quoted as saying by dailymail.co.uk Monday, in a message to the fans.

"Be sure you make as much noise as possible - go absolutely nuts at half-time - to help us create a brilliant atmosphere. I have seen firsthand what kind of noise Evertonians create - it will be perfect for the scene."
