Buenos Aires, Jan 15 (IANS): Nasser Al-Attiyah stretched his overall lead by winning the 10th stage of the Dakar Rally.
The 44-year-old Wednesday won the 859km leg from Calama in Chile to the northern Argentine city of Salta in three hours and 49.59 minutes, reports Xinhua.
His Mini colleague Orlando Terranova finished second, a minute and 35 seconds further back, while Yazeed Al-Rajhi was third.
It was Al-Attiyah's fourth stage victory of the event and he is now a firm favourite to win the title for a second time.
The Qatari driver leads South African Giniel de Villiers in the overall standings by more than 28 minutes.
In Thursday's 11th stage drivers will travel 520km south from Salta to Termas de Rio Hondo.
