Kundapur, Jan 7: Udupi deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Vishal R Rao paid a visit to the Kumbhasi Koraga colony and held discussions with Koraga leaders and residents about facilities provided to them, on Wednesday, January 7.
The deputy commissioner discussed about drinking water, electricity and other basic needs in the colony. “The houses in Koraga colony have not received title deeds yet and a proposal should be submitted to the executive officer from the gram panchayat level who will then forward it to the district administration through the tehsildar”, he said.
“It will be an easy way to obtain title deeds and the local panchayat should act on it and enable the Koraga residents to obtain them”, he added.
After speaking to the local gram panchayat secretary, he also suggested to repair the solar light system in the colony.
House visit of children:
Deputy commissioner visited the Kumbhasi children and discussed with the leaders about the needs of children. He expressed satisfaction at the rest house, warehouse and drinking water facility. He said that a proposal will be submitted to the district administration about providing inverter to houses to prevent inconvenience to children during power failures.
Deputy commissioner also visited Kumbhasi Anegudde Vinayaka model higher primary school and inspected the teaching facility for children.
IDTC officer H S Premanath, Kumbhasi gram panchayat secretary Neelu, Koraga leaders Ganesh Kundapura and Ganesh Barkooru were present.
