Berlin, Dec 21 (IANS): Dutch international striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has extended his contract with German football club Schalke 04 until June 2017.
The 31-year-old -- nicknamed 'The Hunter' -- joined Schalke from AC Milan in 2010 for a club record 14 million euros and has scored 66 goals in 116 league games for the Royal Blues with an option of an extra year in his new contract, reports Xinhua.
Huntelaar, the third highest scorer in Schalke's history, has scored seven goals in 15 Bundesliga games this season, scoring three times in the Champions League.
