Santiago, Nov 25 (IANS): World Cup quarter-final opponents Brazil and Colombia have been drawn in the same group at next year's Copa America, to be held in Chile.
They will join Peru and Venezuela, who were also allotted to Group C during Monday's tournament draw in the coastal city of Vina del Mar, reports Xinhua.
Eight-time Copa America winners Brazil defeated Colombia 2-1 during their meeting in the last-eight of the World Cup in Fortaleza in July.
The teams also clashed in a September friendly in Miami, which Brazil won 1-0.
Group A features Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia and tournament hosts Chile, while Group B comprises Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Jamaica.
South America's premier international tournament will begin in Santiago on June 11.
Defending champions Uruguay are the tournament's most successful team, having won the tournament 15 times, once more than Argentina.
