Mangaluru, Nov 21: “Children must flourish and blossom irrespective of gender, religion and race”, said Harekal Hajabba, Karnataka Rajyotsava award winner after inaugurating a street play in Government Higher Primary school, Gandhi Nagar, on November 19.
The event was organized by Child Line -1098, Mangaluru on the occasion of ‘Child Line Se Dosti Sapthaha’ in association with PG department of Social work, St Mary’s College, Shirva on the same day to curb the mounting atrocity on children in the society.
The street play ‘Araluva Hoogalu’ was scripted and directed by assistant Prof Vignesh of MSW department. 15 students of MSW students enacted the theme in the form of street play in a befitting manner and presented near office, KSRTC Bus stand, railway station, and Vamnjoor.
The street play created awareness about problems of children and educated the public on remedial measures.
