Hassan: Kannada Sahithya Sammelana to be held in Shravanabelagola

Hassan, Nov 17: Kannada Sahithya Parishat has decided in an executive meeting held in Belur on Sunday to hold 81st All India Kannada Sahithya Sammelana in Shravanabelagola.

Pundalika Halambi, the president of Kannada Sahithya Parishat revealed this after the meeting.

65th Kannada Sahithya Sammelana was held in 1996 in Hassan which was chaired by renowned poet Channaveera Kanavi.

Haveri district literature enthusiasts had demanded the Sammelana to be held in Haveri.

The mega event will be held in the month of February 2015.
