Bengaluru, Nov 16: A girl has committed suicide at her home in Subramanya layout of Byrasandra near Baiyappanahalli in Bengaluru over a small fight with her sister.
Jayashree (16) is the person deceased.
Jayashree was the youngest daughter of labourers Megha and Yellappa. It is said that Jayashree had failed in the SSLC examinations in the recent examinations. Their older daughter, Gayathri aged 18 is a B Com student.
As per reports, Gayathri wore Jayashree’s clothes to college on Thursday morning. Jayashree picked a quarrel with her sister on the issue. Yellappa intervened and scolded Jayashree. He also promised to get her a new dress and left for work.
During the conversation Jayashree had said that she would not be at home when Yellappa returned home. The father did not take the matter seriously and ignored her.
Jayashree’s mother Megha and sister Gayathri too soon left home leaving Jayashree alone at home. Jayashree hanged herself with a dupatta in the kitchen. When Yellappa came home for lunch at around 12.45 pm, he found the door closed from inside. As there was no response, he broke open the door to find his daughter hanging from the ceiling.
Baiyappanahalli police have registered the case.
