Dubai: Billawas of Tulunadu Uphold Heritage with Spectacular Show

Dubai, Oct 28: 'Pingara', a community cultural event presented by Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates, held in Banquet Hall, Dhow Palace Hotel Mankool Road - Bur Dubai on Friday, October 27, showcased the heritage of Tulunadu. It also brought the spectrum culture of the entire nation under one roof through various cultural presentations.
 
Jaya Suvarna, chairman of The Bharat Co-operative Bank Ltd., Mumbai and a well-known community leader from Mumbai, was the chief guest



Bannanje Babu Amin,  well-known writer of Koti Chennaya and other stories in both Tulu and Kannada languages, managing trustee of Brahma Baidarkala Cultural Association, member of Sahitya Academy and editor of monthly magazine 'Akshaya', was the guest of honor





President of Billawas Dubai and NE Umesh Kukkian welcomed the gathering and thanked sponsors and members for bring up this successful event.

Over a thousand people gathered to participate in this event

The highlight of the show was a fashion show presented by the Billawa couples reflecting the tradition with costume. The traditional dresses of Kashmir, Mahrarastra, Bengal, Kerala, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other states stole the show as well.
