Mangalore, Oct 22: The state government has released a sum of Rs 3.45 crore for development of 946 temples in Karnataka.
This was informed by in-charge minister for DK district and Minister for Muzrai B Nagraj Shetty. Speaking to the press on Saturday the minister said that a sum of Rs 1.50 crore has been release for various development works in Talakaveri Bhagamandala in Kodagu.
Further every MLAs constituency will be given Rs 5 lac for various schemes, he said. A total funding of Rs 7.50 crore is required and the government has sanctioned Rs 3.50 crore, Shetty informed.
The government has selected 359 pilgrims who will be helped to make their pilgrimage to Manasa Sarovar. Each person will be given Rs 25,000 for the pilgrimage and thus the government has released Rs 75 lac for the same, the minister informed.
