Bantwal, Oct 4: The ambitious programme of Lions and Lioness Club of Bantwal, in association with District health and family welfare department, District Women and Children development cell and Taluk Panchayat Bantwal organized a mega health check up camp and healthy baby contest for children below three years at all 18 primary health centres in the taluk.
Inauguration of the programme was held on Wednesday October 1 at primary health centre Adyanadka.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Manjunath, taluk health officer Bantwal at Adyanadka Primary health centre. Lions District 317 D health camp convener Ln Jagadeesh Yadapadithaya presided over the function. Immediate past president of taluk panchayat Lalitha Shivappa Naik, Kepu Gram Panchayat president Srinivas Rai, Punacha Grama panchayat president Uday Kumar Dambe, Adyanadka PHC medical officer Dr Subodh Rai, Lions Club Bantwal ex presidents Ln Vasanth Kumar Shetty, Ln Madwaraj Kalmady, Ln S G Acharya, Ln P J Rodrigues Ln Laxman Kulal, Ln Ramesh Mameshwar, Ln Sathya Narayan Rao, secretary Ln Rohitashwa, Lns Vrinda Satish Kudva and Lns Chithra Yadapadithaya were present on the occasion. Vittal CDPO Sudha Joshi proposed the vote of thanks.
In connection with childrens’ day celebration on November 14, a health check up camp and final round of healthy baby contest will be conducted for the selected babies from all the PHC’s at Lions Club Bantwal followed by a valedictory programme. Honorable minister for health and family welfare U T Khader and honorable minster for Forest and Environment, Ecology and district in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai will grace the occasion.
