Kasargod, Sep 11: An incident of false information of suicide by hanging was spread through social networking site WhatsApp and the police have registered a complaint after the affected Hameed M M, resident of Ichangod lodged a complaint with the DySP.

The message had been sent through WhatsApp on August 28. Many people who saw the message visited Hameed's house and only then he realized that false news was being sent.
