Rio de Janeiro, Sep 9 (IANS) Porto defender Danilo is set to be given a starting berth in Brazil's friendly against Ecuador in New Jersey Tuesday.
The 23-year-old will replace Maicon at right-back after the Roma defender was cut from the squad for unspecified disciplinary reasons, Xinhua quoted the O Globo newspaper as saying.
Danilo has been capped six times for Brazil since making his international debut in 2011.
Selecao coach Dunga is also likely to hand a chance to Paris Saint-Germain central defender Marquinhos.
The 20-year-old is in line to replace his club teammate David Luiz, who has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Tuesday's fixture at the MetLife stadium follows Brazil's 1-0 victory over Colombia in Miami Friday.
