Port Blair, Aug 16: Now you can get a chance to glance upon the scenic beauty of important historic and tourist places of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on postal cards.

The Union territory's Chief Administration Secretary Shamsher K Sherrif has launched five new series of "Meghdoot post cards" brought out by the India Post, depicting the natural scenic beauty of these islands.

The post cards depicting pictures of famous Cellular Jail, the Sand bar between Ross and Smith Islands, Sitapur beach of Neil Island, the Barren Island and Cinque Island.

These post cards would cost only 25 paisa each.

The cards would promote tourism of these islands, according Director of Postal Services in Andaman G Madhumita Das.

She informed that the new post cards would be available in all the post offices of these islands from August 16 onwards.
