New Delhi, Aug 11: A doctor of a Delhi government-run dispensary in Shahdra area of North-East Delhi was on Thursday arrested after he allegedly molested a 20-year-old girl who had gone to him for treatment.

Dr Rajesh, working at a government dispensary in Jyoti Colony, was arrested in a drunken state from the health centre soon after the incident at about 12:30 pm, according to sources.

The girl (20), hailing from Kardampuri in Shahdra, had been suffering from fever for the last several days. She was allegedly molested by the doctor during medical examination. He also threatened her against telling it to anyone.

She immediately ran from the room and told about it to her brother who had accompanied her to the dispensary. The brother called the police.

Rajesh’s medical examination revealed that he had been under the influence of liquor.

A case has been registered and the doctor has been charged under Sections 354 and 506.
