NEW DELHI, July 31: In a statement that could turn the mole controversy into a damp squib, senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh on Monday said he has no definite name of any mole in the PMO. He said that his views were based on a "hunch".

A day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wrote a sharp letter telling him that his missive contained no names of the alleged informant; Jaswant Singh briefed his senior party leaders, including Leader of Opposition L K Advani, on the issue.

"He told the meeting that he has no definite name of the spy, all that he has said was based on a hunch," party sources said.

The former External Affairs Minister, who has been in the thick of a storm on the issue, told party leaders that he has delivered whatever documents he had to the Prime Minister in connection with the alleged leaks during P V Narasimha Rao's regime.

"He (Jaswant) said it is upto the government to use them as a lead to catch hold of that person," the sources said.

Jaswant Singh also wrote another letter to the Prime Minister on Monday, who had told him on Sunday that the document he had sent was not original and had no signature and faulted him for not taking up the matter with the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

An aide of Singh, however, refused to disclose the contents of the five-six page letter he had written to the Prime Minister on Monday.

Earlier in the day, Singh told the Rajya Sabha that he was ready to answer all questions in the Rajya Sabha on the issue.

"I have no difficulty in responding to anything that the House wishes to be clarified," he said after Shahid Siddique (SP) and V Narayanasamy (Cong) during Question Hour wanted to know who passed on nuclear scerets to the US     

"I did not and do not intend to sensationalise (the matter)," he said.

He asked the Rajya Sabha Chairman to decide the manner and form in which the issue would be raised for him to reply to queries.

"Raise queries by all means... I am ready to answer," he said, adding the questions would have to be raised in an orderly manner for him to respond.

Earlier, as soon as the House assembled for the day, Siddiqui said he had given a notice for suspension of Question Hour so that the Government can respond to nation's concern on nuclear secrets.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat said the issue was important.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachauri said many questions had been raised in past few days over who was instrumental in release of wanted terrorist Azhar Masood and the ransom paid.
