Kasargod: Dr Kinyanna Rai's birth centenary celebrations on Jun 8

Kasargod, Jun 7: The birth centenary celebrations of Nadoja Dr Kayyara Kinyanna Rai will be held on Sunday June 8 at Peradala Kavitha Kuteera.

The programme will be held under the aegis of Kayyara Birth Centenary Paura Samithi, Badiadka.

It will be inaugurated at 10 am by  Karnataka Vidhana Parishat Sabhapathi D H Shankeramurthi. Committee president Mahin Kelot will give the presidential address.  

The girls of Peradala Navajeevana Higher Secondary School will sing a group song. Karavali
Cultural Pratistana president Shivarama Kasargod will give the key note address. 

MLA N A Nellikunnu will preside over the programme. Kerala minister K C Joseph, Karnataka ministers U T Khader, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Ramanath Rai, Umashree and Abhayachandra Jain will participate as chief guests.

Kayyar Kinyanna Rai will be presented with Pampa award of the government of Karnataka and Paura award. 

Kannada movement leader Vatal Nagaraj, Vishranth chancellor Dr B A Vivek Rai, Dr M M Kalaburgi, Dr
Mohan Alva, Chandrakanth Bellada, K Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi, trustee Harikrishna Punarooru, MP P Karunakaran and MLA P B Abdul Razak will be speaking on the occasion.
