Moodbidri, June 6: Unidentified miscreants have reportedly thrown masala on the Hanumantha shrine in Kurukalikamba temple premises at Smiths lane here on Wednesday night June 4.

The miscreants have used the Hanumantha shrine that is close to Gurukalikamba temple near Jainpete for their deed. The incident came to light when the priest Rakshit came to the shrine for performing pooja at the Rakshit temple at 7.30 am on Thursday June 5.

The masala was splashed over the shrine through a small door that resembles a window. It was found on the Hanumatha idol, pooja bar and on the wall. A bag in which the masala was brought was found at the place.

Moodbidri circle inspector Anantha Padmanabha visited the place and has conducted the investigation. Prominent people connected with the temple have condemned the act.

We will not tolerate such acts on any religious places. The Police Need to act swiftly and show their efficiency by punishing those who all are involved in this heinous crime. Whoever committed this heinous crime should be locked up for the rest of their life. Hope they find who did this and punish them severely!

When will be able to understand the real deeper truth that GOD IS ONE AND THE SAME FOR ALL? We understand and worship God in so many different ways but that does not mean that God is different for different persons of different religions. The simple truth is that there cannot exist different Gods. What will we achieve by hurting the religious sentiments of other religions?? In other words we are desecrating our same God who is worshiped in some other form. Thank you and God bless each one of us.
