Mangalore: Painter slips off third floor, dies

Mangalore, May 19: A painter by profession, Basheer (42) resident of Farangipete slipped off a building, while he was carrying out painting works and died on the spot. 

The incident occured on Sunday May 18 at 3:30 pm in the Bunder Police Station Limits.

Basheer was reportedly painting a wall and a few windows panes of a multi floored building in the city, while the incident occurred. Not following the safety measures is said to be the main reason for the incident to occur, it is learnt.

A case of negligence and carelessness has been registered against the painting contractor and foreman in the Bunder Police Station.
