Moodbidri, Apr 24: The reinstallation of the rock made sanctuary of Mukhyaprana, which is famous for its tender coconut Abhiskekha was held in the temple on Wednesday April 23.
The religious rituals for the same were performed by Kashimata Seer Srimath Samyameendra Teertha Swamiji. The prasadam was distributed among the devotes by the administrative chief G Umesh Pai.
Religious and cultural programs were held in the Sukrtheendra Kala Mandira of Shree Venkatramana Temple to mark this occasion.
Sri Samyameendra Teertha Swamiji gave his blessings and said, “How honey is tightly packed inside the honey comb in the presence of the queen bee, in the same way, the blessing of all the Gods and Goddesses will be bestowed on us by offering our prayers to Mukhyaprana, thus making our life smooth, comfortable and peaceful.”
The land and sanctuary donors of the temple presented an Audi Q4 to Sri Samyameendra Teertha Swamiji to make the occasion memorable. The prime donor of the vehicle, Pulkeri Panduranga Subraya Kamath was then felicitated on the occasion.
A large number of devotees were present on the occasion and it marked to be one of the most historic events in the temple. Prasadam in various forms was distributed among the devotees.
A special Shayyadivasa Pooja was held on the occasion, where in the idol of the Lord was completely decorated with jasmine flowers. The fragrance spread all over the place and the devotees received the blessing of the Lord Almighty.
As a part of the cultural event, Sri Krishna Leelamrutham- Konkani Yakshagana by the Yaksha Saraswatha ® was held along with bhajans and Sri Rama Sankeerthana.
Dignitaries K Abhayachandra Jain, K Amarnath Shetty, B Nagaraj Shetty, Kuldeep of Chowta’s Palace, K P Jagadish Adhikari, Umanath Kotian and others visited the temple and sought the blessings of Lord Mukhyaprana.
