Mangalore, Jun 2: The Mulki police have arrested two persons for running an illegal slaughterhouse at Gerukatte near Mulki here on Thursday June 1 morning.

The arrested have been identified as Abdul Hameed (46) and his brother Mohammad Ali (44) of Gerukatte.  They were running the slaughterhouse illegally in the late Haju Habubakkar's house at Amritanandamyinagar near here.

The Mulki police raided the house after a receiving a sure tip-off.  The police also recovered 5 slaughtered cows from the house.

The accused were later produced before the court.
