Los Angeles, Dec 11 (IANS): Freida Pinto's rise to global fame is "courageous", says Hollywood actor Josh Brolin, who starred with the Indian beauty in Woody Allen's "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger".
"She's incredible. I have a tremendous amount of respect for anyone who comes out of a best picture situation. I think that takes a lot of courage and she worked really hard. But she's doing extremely well. She is very courageous," Brolin said of Freida in a statement.
Freida, who was a model in Mumbai, bagged a key role in Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire", which won multiple Academy Awards. There has been no looking back for Fredia since then as she is spotted at key red carpet events and even bagged plum international projects like "Miral" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".
Brolin's latest movie "Oldboy", a Hollywood remake of the cult South Korean thriller "Oldboy", is set to release in India Friday.
The film follows the story of an advertising agent who is locked in a hotel room for 20 years without knowing his captor's motives. When he is finally released, he finds himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and violence.
