Mangaluru, Feb 1: A group of young professionals, earning their monthly salaries, are quietly changing lives. Biruver Kudla, led by Uday Poojary, has been dedicating its earnings from the annual food fest to help the underprivileged with housing, medical aid, daily kits, and ambulances.

This year, Rs 3 lac was distributed to five families during a modest ceremony at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple. In addition, six beneficiaries were gifted artificial limbs worth Rs 7 lac, courtesy of Biruver Kudla and Fitwell High-Tech Artificial Limb Centre.

The event saw the presence of key leaders such as Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader, BJP leader Nalin Kumar Kateel, and legislators Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharat Shetty, Harish Poonja, and Kishore Kumar Puttur, who personally handed over the donations to the deserving recipients.

"Biruver Kudla is an exemplary force in the community. Their work is inspiring, and I hope this organization continues to thrive and make a difference," said the dignitaries.

Founded 8 years ago, Biruver Kudla has now raised over Rs 10 crore, providing vital medical aid, home construction assistance, and free ambulance services to thousands of families in need.

"We help without any caste or religious distinction. Our focus is solely on uplifting the underprivileged," said members of the organisation.
