Margao, April 21: South Goa member of parliament (Lok Sabha) Churchill Alemao while welcoming the cabinet decision supporting the upgradation of the Dabolim Airport, served an ultimatum that if Congress wanted to rule further in Goa, they would have to scrap the Mopa Airport project or else power would be snatched away.
Addressing press conference in a city hotel he said that he would continue his agitation against Mopa till the state govt. declare its support for only one Airport and that is Dabolim Airport.
Alemao alleged that Pednem constituency MLA Jitendra Deshprabhu and Ramakant Khalap had no backing in their own constituency and during the recent Bandh was with BJP support and also with the support of people from Malwan and Sindhudurg areas of Maharashtra.
Alemao is confident that the agitation would succeed in ensuring that the Mopa Airport project would be scrapped.
