Mangalore, Apr 7: Mick Max needs no introduction in Konkani world.  The mention of even his full name Michael Maxim D'Souza may not identify him, but his pen-name Mick Max clicks instantly among his thousands of admirers the world over.

He has selflessly and at times without any support rendered yeoman's service to the Konkani community. He is not an individual but an institution by himself.  An actor-playwright, musician, singer, compere, thinker, short-story writer, novelist, organizer - the list runs still longer -  Mick Max is a complete combo package serving the community with aplomb.  He is a crusader so to say because he has dared to initiate, experiment and combine innovations which have largely been beneficial to the community.

He has been fighting against odds for years now.  But his zeal, zest and robust nature have carried him thus far.  He has done so much for the community biting the bullets of criticism.

Now such a brave warrior is lying critically ill in the hospital bed.  He who ran the race bravely and withstood everything is no more in a state where he can fight against his ailment on his own strength.  He is in need of support and prayers from all of us who have seen him slog for years for the cause of the community.

His family has made a special request to the readers of Daijiworld to pray for him and his health.  When no earthly forces and capacities can come to one's rescue, God's intervention is much needed and sought.  Bearing this in mind, his loved ones have requested for a prayerful support from all who have known Mick Max and his service.
