Bangalore, Apr 7: The Lokayukta police unearthed immovable property and other valuables, in all estimated at Rs. 10 crore, allegedly amassed by a senior official of Mysore Minerals, a State Government undertaking.
Lokayukta N. Venkatachala told presspersons here on Thursday April 6, that B.T. Lakshman, Chief General Manager of Mysore Minerals, was found to possess 1.5 kg of gold ornaments, 8 kg of silver articles, cash and deposits of about Rs. 70 lakh besides immovable property estimated at about Rs. 8 crore.
A palatial three-storeyed 60' X 40' house estimated at Rs. 2 crore in Chandra Layout, a four-storeyed complex estimated at Rs. 5 crore and a two-storeyed building in Vijayanagar estimated at about Rs. 50 lakh, another structure plot at Sunkadakatte estimated at Rs. 50 lakh, two sites in Mariyappanapalya and a plot were part of the property, the Lokayukta said.
