Modi praises seer Shobhan Sarkar

New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS): Days after mocking the hunt for gold at a fort in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Monday expressed his regard for the seer who dreamt of treasure at the excavation site.

"Thousands of people have reposed their faith in seer Shobhan Sarkar since many years, I respect his austerity and sacrifice," said Modi, the prime ministerial candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In a rally in Chennai last week, Modi criticised the central government for ordering the excavation at the ruins of Raja Rao Ram Bux Singh's fort near Daundia Kheda village following the seer's dream, saying: "The whole world is making fun of us".

Modi Monday also demanded that the central government bring out a white paper on black money.

"I request government of India to bring a white paper on black money and assure the nation," Modi said in a comment on twitter.

If a speech is not prepared for him to memorize and present it, on his own if he makes a speech, it will be like the one he made in Chennai - loose talk and then retract (for example Kedarnath fiasco - airlifting 15000 people in one day!!). It has happened before too.

He just repeats what is fed to him about Gujarath's development too. Actual facts are different.

Hope people will realise in time and refrain......
