Mangalore, Oct 8: On the occasion of the Patrons’ Feast, the CLC Association of Guardian Angels Church, Angelore, organized ‘Baal Angelore 2013’, a kids’ talent contest and ‘Naach Mummy Naach 2013’, dance competition for mothers, at the church hall on Sunday October 6.
A total of 12 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years participated in the ‘Baal Angelore’ competition with the constant encouragement and cheering from their parents.
In all, 13 mothers participated in the ‘Naas Mummy Naas’ competition with cheers from their husbands and children.
The judges for the ’Baal Angelore’ contest were Naina Fernandes and Zeena Machado. Vibha Jonina Mascarenhas won the title of 'Baal Angelore 2013' while Rennel Pais and Aiyana Ruth Tauro were the first and the second runners-up, respectively.
The judges for the 'Naach Mummy Naach’ contest were Avil D’Cruz, Nizil Pereira, and Rahul. Sylvia D’Souza won the title while Sunitha D’Souza and Laveena Mascarenhas were the first and the second runners-up, respectively.
The function was presided over by Fr Mathew Vas, Angelore parish priest. The guests of honour were Asha D’Silva, corporator of Kankanady–Valencia ward, Fr Deepak D’
Sa, assistant parish priest, Albert Lasrado, vice-president, and Robin Vas, president, CLC Mangalore Diocese.
Simmons, CLC, Angelore, welcomed the gathering. Anette Bennies, president, CLC, Angelore, extended words of gratitude. Anitha D’Souza hosted the formal function, Renita Lobo hosted the ‘Baal Angelore’ contest and Albert Lasrado hosted the ‘Naach Mummy Naach’ competition. Under the able leadership of Anette Bennies, president, CLC, Angelore, and constant help and support of members, the programme was a grand success.
