Moodbidri, Mar 4: The Moodbidri Town Municipality has elected its third president in five years. This time a youth of 26 years has been elected, who has become the youngest president of TMC.

Congress led the ruling here and the youngest amongst the councilors, Sunder has been elected chairman on rotataion basis. The tenure is for a period of only 10 months, as the election will be due at that time after the 5years of the council.
The first president of the council was Harinaksi Suvarna and the vice-president was Felix Lobo, who were for a period of 30 months. As per reservation, an SC candidate is eligible to be the president.
Suresh Kotian has been elected as the vice-president.
