Kundapur, Sep 26: Two individuals who pretended to be customers at a cycle shop stole a cash bag by bluffing the shop owner.
This incident took place at a nearby old bus stand, Kundapur on Wednesday September 25.
On Wednesday evening, at around 4:30 pm two individuals who came on a bike disguised as customers, to Bharath Cycle Store.
Among the two individuals, one had come to purchase the cycle, and he demanded to see the cycle with the owner knowing that she was alone in the shop.
When shop owner took him inside to show the cycle, another allegedly said to be the thief stood near cash box and stole the entire cash and immediately sat on his bike. The person, who went inside to see cycle, said that he will come later and both fled from the spot.
A weird incident also occurred wherein the thieves after stealing all cash from the bag, sent the bag back to the shopkeeper in an auto asking the rickshaw driver to return the bag by paying him Rs 20.
The auto driver thought of the bag to be a parcel and hence returned it to the shop. Only after seeing the bag, the owner realized that a theft had taken place.
A case has been registered at the Kundapur police station.
