Bantwal: Criminal serving life sentence escapes from prison

Bantwal, Sep 17: A criminal who was serving life sentence managed to escape after he was granted parole to visit his ailing mother. A complaint has been registered in this regard at the town police station.

The escapee has been identified as Isubu Moilar alias Yusuf Musliar, resident of Rengelu near Melkar in Panemangalore

In 2005, Isubu killed his second wife Mariamma and dumped her naked body in Gurupur Phalguni River under the Bajpe police station limits.

Bajpe police had registered a case under IPC section 302, 201 and submitted the charge sheet to the court. Mangalore sessions court which investigated the case found Isubu guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. As per the court judgment Isubu was taken to Belgaum prison.

Recently, on the pretext of his mother’s ill health he came down to his hometown on a 45-day parole. He was supposed to return to jail on September 4, but instead absconded.

On September 7, jail superintendent registered a complaint in this regard at Bantwal city police station. Police are on the lookout for the prisoner.

    It can happen only in India.Alife sentenced Person gets a Long leave about 45days!to visit his mother.Its understood it was always the same reason they give with all certificates (if she is or not)like in School times.Acriminal too .In These days he can do prepare himself for the future.How stupid is our Govt.rule.who knows he is already outside the Country if not he is stupid enough .

    How stupid of the authorities.Why was he left in the first place, Very soon inmates would be having leave form jail for Xmas, Diwali, Eid etc. to visit and celebrate with their families.

    Jailed criminals escaping from the prison has become more in the Indian prisons.Is it because of leinient and lack of accountability to the jail staff or maintaining nexuses with the culprit who escapes.This is really a serious offence and I feel the superiors will take corrective steps in this regard.Thanq.

    No one wann go back to jail specially when its life imprisonment. Guess he did a sensible thing by escaping.
    We should blame the system for its failure in imposing foolproof bail system..
