New Delhi, Sep 9 (IANS): Days of dry spell ended in the capital Monday as parts of the city received rains and the maximum temperature settled a notch above at 35 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast more showers Tuesday.
"The skies will be cloudy tomorrow (Tuesday) and some parts of the city may get showers," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34 and 24 degrees Celsius.
The city received sporadic rains through Monday. A total of 2.1 mm of rainfall was recorded in the capital from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The day's minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 24.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity was 85 percent.
Since the monsoon's arrival, Delhi has got 734.6 mm of rain, 35 percent more than average.
