Bangalore, Feb 16: Five major hospitals here are learnt to be expanding their infrastructure and medical services with fresh investments of crores of rupees.
It is reported that noted heart surgeon Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty who heads Narayana Hrudayalaya, a hospital known for treating heart problems at lower costs, is planning to build a health city. Similarly, Wockhardt hospital is learnt to be trebling its present facilities.
Further, Manipal Hospital is reported to have acquired Bangalore Children's Hospital and is planning two more secondary care centres in the city.
Apollo Hospitals, with its network of 35 centres already, is also learnt to be emulating the other institutions in investing more on healthcare in Bangalore.
