Mangalore, Feb 16: In a chain of raids conducted in the city onTuesday February 15, the city police under the leadership of ASP (Probationer) Labhu Ram raided a video theatre and a video library exhibiting blue films at Tokkottu

Sangeetha Video Theatre located at Tokkottu junction was raided on Tuesday, February 14 by a police team comprising of ASP (Probationer) and staff of Ullal police station. The raid was conducted based on the information that the theatre was showing pornographic films.

The cops who landed at the theatre caught Pushpraj (18) of Ganjimath and Rajan (32) of Talapady, manager of the theatre. During the time of the raid the theatre was found exhibiting a hardcore pornographic movie.

A projector, 2 CD players, 2 amplifiers, 1 stabilizer, 2 speakers 3 VCDs and Rs 1,000 cash was seized from the spot. The video theatre is said to belong to Sudhakar Moolya of Mangalore who is also one of the accused in the case.

Further based on the information provided by the accused on the source of the blue films, the team raided Anith Video Library located at Ullal and seized 10 VCDs containing pornographic material. The owner of the video library Prakash (24) of Tokkottu was also arrested.

The Ullal police station has registered a case against the four accused.
