Udupi, Jul 30: Jc JFD Shridhar P S, president of JCI Zone 15 officially visited the JCI Udyavara Kuthpady chapter on Sunday July 28.

JCI Udyavara Kuthpady along with JCI India Foundation donated a water cooler with water purifier to Hindu Higher Primary School, Udyavar.

This was a dream project of the JCI national president to provide “clean and purified drinking water to the schools."

This permanent project was inaugurated by zone president JFD Shridhar P S, in his inaugural speech he told that clean and pure drinking water is one of the basic needs of the people.

"Today the government has rendered their support to the schools by providing food, milk, eggs etc.  But there is no approproate provision for clean drinking water," he said.

With this regard, JCI national president has taken a step to fulfill this need. He also stated that JCI Udyavara Kuthpady has done a wonderful and noble work by installing the water cooler with purifier to this needy school.

He congratulated the school management committee for successfully running this Kannada medium school for the past 150 years in between the completion from English Medium schools.

School correspondent Govidaraya Shenoy and head master Ganapathi Karanth thanked the JCI organization for providing such a good drinking water facility for the school children, which will be helpful for the 419 students who are studying in the school.

The zone president visited JCI Udyavara Kuthapdy chapter at Soundarya residency hall Udyavara.  Speaking on the occasion he said that more youth should join the JC campaign and in this regard members should work on it. 

During the occasion, a ceiling fan and a wall clock has been donated to the Anganawadi of Sampigenagara and a few wall paintings to the Anganawadi of Bolje.

The zone president was felicitated by JCI Udyavara Kuthpady chapter members.

Chapter president Jc HGF Michal D’Souza welcomed all. Jc HGF Dayananda Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.
