Abu Dhabi, Jul 22: Bearys Welfare Forum (BWF), a well-known social organization in the UAE, respected for its philanthropic and charitable works, organized Iftar get-together at India Social and Cultural Centre on Friday July 19 amidst prominent personalities, including Sudhir Kumar Shetty

Rafeeq Krishnapur compered the programme.

The programme started with a highly informative religious speech by Zachariah Beltangady, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After breaking of the fast and performing evening prayers, a short stage programme was held and all the dignitaries were extended Ramadan compliments and wishes.

BWF general secretary Abdulla Madumoole welcomed the gathering and briefed the audience on the importance of the holy month of Ramadan

Engineer Mohamed Irshad recitated the holy Quran.

President Mohammed Ali welcomed the prominent guests on to the dais, and expressed his gratitude for accepting the invitation and joining them for the Iftar get-together.

Mohamed Ali Uchil put forward the charitable causes initiated by BWF, which were successfully conducted in Mangalore, especially the mass marriages of 59 poor girls, and appealed for generous help from members to carry out the same successfully in the future too. He also thanked all those who donated for various causes which helped many underprivileged people to live a dignified life in society. He highlighted BWF projects like distribution of wheel chairs, and empathized on the BWF pilot project 'Shouchalaya', a unique project to construct 100 toilets for the poor in society irrespective of caste and religion in various parts of the twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

BWF has completed the construction and handing over of 33 toilets, and another 100 are on the pipeline.

He pecially expressed his gratitude to chief guest of the day Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO Global, UAE Exchange Centre) for his constant support from the beginning to BWF.

All the dignitaries spoke on the occasion and wished 'Happy Ramadan' to all Muslim brothers. Sudhir Kumar Shetty also wished them on the occasion and praised BWF for its various charitable deeds and promised to support the BWF cause.

The other main guest of the day, Siraj Ahmed of Saiban Community, spoke on the occasion and said he too was closely associated with BWF and lauded BWF for the community service and selfless work towards the common people and the underprivileged.

Shekar Shetty (Arab Udupi Group), Ravi Rai, NMC Group, Aijaj Baig, ADNOC, Manohar Tonse of Karnataka Sangha, Thomas Sequeira, and Sathya Babu, general secretary, ISC, also spoke on the occasion and wished all the best during observance of Ramadan.

Shaikh Bava, vice-president of BWF delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme was coordinated by Mohamed Siddik Kaup, treasurer, BWF, and joint secretary Siddik Uchil. Audio visuals of BWF achievements and photos arranged by Abdul Jaleel Gurupur, Imran Ahmed and Ismail Shimoga were displayed on the occasion.

Mohd Kallapu, Basheer Bajpe and Abdul Ravoof along with Abdul Hameed Gurupur took up the floor management and managed the event with a professional touch.

Abdul Majeed, Haneef Ullal, Nzaeer Ubar, Mohideen Handel, Abdul Razak Sullia, Ibrahim Perla, Majeed Athoor, Iqwan Ahmed, Rasheed Bijai, Abdul Majeed Athoor, Jaleel Uchil, Rasheed V K, Nawaz Uchil, Basheer Uchil, Arif Kudroli, Shareef Krishnapur, Naser Deralakatte, Abdul Rashed, Imran along with BWF youth wing members were instrumental in the success of programme.

    t is always a pleasure to attend the systematically arranged functions conducted by BWF, and in my heart I always have a feeling and respect for BWF, purely because of their selfless act and service to the community

    Hats off to them and wishing them every success in the future. May God bless them and provide them more strength and courage to serve community and arrange for many more such gatherings.

    Congratulations BWF-for holding such a grand Iftar programe.It is the need of the hour to refresh ourselves with the Ramadan Get together. I strongly support the charity work done by BWF-mainly its concern and support for the marriage of underprivileged girls in the community. Their yearly Mass marriage program is milestone in the community charity, and now they announced the Construction of Toilets to the underprivileged. Let Allah

    Well done BWF and congratulations for accomplishing the noble cause of building toilets for poor and needy people and helping out in the marriages of 59 poor girls. I also know that you have been donating wheel chairs to the hospitals. Masha Allah, really a good work for the humanity and keep it roling In Shaa Allah.
    This is really great work at the time when all over the world everyone tarnishing the Muslim Community in a wrong way and for unknown reasons. BWF is doing a great work, this is what the Islam teaches. Help and support the need people! It is also good to note that, people from other communities too join BWF in their cause for helping the poor people in and around Mangalore.
    All the very best and In Shaa Allah more success to BWF in future too.
