Udupi, Jul 18: Kaup JCI members spent a day at the Pambooru Manasa residential along with differently abled students on July 16. They put forth their best a role model to other children and also to set an example for other organizations.
JCI members conducted games with around 200 students of Manasa residential who are differently abled students, and the members were happy to see the hidden talents portrayed by the children.
There were also various competitions organized for the children and an attempt was made to consider differently abled as normal individuals. The students were also presented with different prizes.
On this occasion teachers of Manasa were honored for their care with the students. The members of JCI served a special lunch for all the students and members.
Manasa Institution convener Remidia D’ Souza in her address said “the contribution of the government towards the development of Manasa institution is very less. But due to the goodwill of many NGO’s, institutions, organizations that have come forward to serve the institution we have managed quite well."
"Due to the cooperation of these people we have succeeded in transforming many students as achievers. The teaching and non teaching staff also cooperated with the institution. Even the students have brought fame to district, state, and country by taking part in various competitions."
JCI India’s National vice president Sadhanada Navada inaugurated the programme in Manasa organized by Kaup JCI.
East zonal president Harishchandra Amin, zonal vice-president Rathnakar Indralli, Manasa Institution convener Remidia D’Souza, headmistress Sr Telma D’ Souza, JCI Kaup president Rakesh Kunjur, Soumya Rakesh, secretary Ramesh Nayak were present on this occasion.
