Nama Tuluveru hosts Iftar for labourers at Sonapur camp

Media Release

Dubai, Jul 18: Nama Tuluveru UAE for the first time arranged a Iftar in the holy month of Ramadan for the poor labourers residing in Sonapur Dubai on July 17.  Organizers' wished 'Ramadan Kareem' to all the Muslim Brothers who were assembled in the Camp Area along with brethren from other community as well during this 'Share and Care' programme.

More than 450 labourers residing in the Al Shaya Camp Area gathered much before 5:30 pm to receive the Iftar being arranged by Nama Tuluveru UAE.

Around 6:30 pm representatives from Nama Tuluveru arranged distribution of Iftar packets which included Chicken Biriyani, Raita, Papad, Dates, Orange, Apple, Banana, Fruit Juice, Water, Gift hampers from Chilly Willy Trading included T-Shirts, Caps, Pens, Clocks, Energy Drinks, Dates etc.  By 7 pm the Iftar was systematically distributed and all the Muslim brothers went for prayers after receiving the Iftar.  Nama Tuluveru members sat with the labourers to have the Iftar shared with them.

Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is taken right after Maghrib time, which is around sunset. Traditionally but not mandatory, three dates are eaten to break the fast in emulation of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who broke his fast in this manner. Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding and that such was practiced by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Nama Tuluveru Members later announced that they will have this 'Share and Care with our People' Iftar distribution during the holy month of Ramadan every year with the Labourers residing in these areas.

Members of Nama Tuluveru voluntarily came forward to contribute for this great event as a part of 'Community Social Responsibility' programme and concluded this programme with great fervor.  Media personalities came in to witness the programme and cover this event in their web and TV media.
