Mumbai, Jan 16: A premier Konkani organization of Mumbai Maharashtra Konkani Association at the auspicious occasion of its decennial celebrations has announced to hold a grand programme called "Konknni Utsav" on February 4, 2006. The programme will be held at Holy Family Church school grounds, Chakala, Andheri East the heart of the sub-urban city.
The programme starts with the grand procession in roads of Mumbai at 5.00 pm. Which followed by the cultural programme. The cultural programme consists of hilarious jokes, musical and cultural evening.
For the first time in the history of Mumbai thousands of Konkani lovers are expected to witness this event.
The cultural programme will also consists of Jokes from Felix Saldanha of Dol-Fel-Chal fame. He will be also accompanied by award winning artist Raymond Lobo and comedy kings group. State award winner Gopal Gawda and his team will present Dori Khell, Tonnyo kell and Gumat khell. Mando, Dulpod and other types of arts will be also presented during this time.
Start artists of Mumbai Kenny, Victor Concesso, Sukrene and others will win the heats of the audience through their melodious singing with the dance.
Music Director Benjamine D'Souza along with Filmi music accompanist Award winner James Lopes of Honnavar and his troupe will present instrumental music.
Well known Vincent Alva of Mangalore will compere the event.
