New Delhi, June 15 (IANS): It was a pleasant morning in the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling at 26.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The Met Office has forecast an overcast sky with light rains likely in some areas.
"The sky will remain cloudy. Light rains and thunder showers are expected in some areas of the city during the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.
The city has recorded 11.6 mm rain in the last 24 hours. The humidity at 8.30 a.m. stood at 69 percent.
Friday's maximum temperature stood at 38.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, while the minimum settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
