Lucknow, Jun 8 (IANS): Parveen Azad, the widow of a police official who was killed by a mob, Saturday said she was not disappointed by the recently filed chargesheet of the CBI in which former Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya has not figured.
Zia-ul-Haq was killed by a mob in Balipur area of Kunda town in Pratapgarh disrict in March this year. Azad had later alleged that Kunda legislator Raja Bhaiyya had a hand in the killing of her husband, who was the then circle officer (CO) of Kunda.
Pointing out that this was the first chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, Azad said she would hold on to hope till the last.
She added that the investigation agency has sought a polygraph test of Raja Bhaiyya, which was a solace to her.
"All is certainly not over," she said, adding that she would not like to comment on the probe of the CBI.
Azad, a medical student, said she was "very hopeful" that the CBI would work honestly, and that she would not rest until the guilty are booked.
